a week in fashion #55

By Marlene | Published: 29. January 2012

*Ah, lazy Sunday. I’m going to spend it on the couch, painting my nails, drinking coffee, drinking another coffee, watching the fashion specials on 3sat and reading the first issue of German Interview. If it reads the way it looks, it’s going to be good. If you can’t get hold of an issue, check out the screentests on their website. Wonderful. And here’s some other good stuff from the rest of the week:

*I have a pretty set list of blogs that I visit every day. And occasionally that list gets even longer. Right now I’m rather obsessively reading Lizzie’s Tomboy Style, Ari’s Primer & Lacquer, Solange’s My Damn Blog and Mary’s, well, Mary’s.

*Another current obsession: Sali Hughes on beauty videos for the Guardian. If you’ve ever doubted your ability to apply eyeliner (like me), watch her 18-minute-video on eyeliner and BELIEVE! Like me.

*The make-up tutorials on Refinery29 are pretty fun, too.

*Inspiring video, inspired project: The wooden, leather-lined laptop cases by Rainer Spehl for Ucon.

*”Sometimes I just wear cardigans backwards. Why wouldn’t you?” I have been absolutely unable to stop myself saying this sentence since I watched the hilariously accurate Shit Oscar PR girls say. (If you haven’t yet, please start right now by watching the original Shit girls say)

*It might be snowing outside, but I’m starting to get excited about the new season. Top of the shopping list: These jeans from J. Crew in pink, pardon, “neon persimmon”.

Have a good week!

Danke, Lis!

Echt? MĂ€rz? Hab ich gar nicht gesehen. Aber, wenn du eh bald in New York bist… Aaahhh, New York!
