a week in fashion #61

*I’ve been working on a design for a suede bomber jacket for a client. I found some great inspiration in the form of this girl spotted strolling in the sun this morning. I’m liking the idea of that jacket more and more.

*Ever wondered what it would be like to be the king of fashion for the day? Pretty relaxed apparently, as it involves staying in your nightshirt until noon. For that and for everything else, it’s really worth reading Karl Lagerfeld in 24 hours from Harper’s Bazaar.

*I hardly need another new pair of sunglasses. That doesn’t stop me wanting this pair from Illesteva.

*Ever since I heard this song from Alabama Shakes on the radio I haven’t been able to get it out of my head.

*I love the simplicity of this advertising campaign by Lego.

*Selfridges has launched The Film Project with a top list of designers contributing.

*I grew up reading Wallpaper* religiously so was interested to read the Guardian‘s piece on creator Tyler Brûlé.

*And finally, this Old Navy commercial, made like a mock infomercial, had me laughing hard. Who better than Mr. T to promote T-shirts?

The most interesting part of the Guardian article are the comments.
TB acts like he is the Don Draper of the contemporary media world, but I feel he is more of a Don(ald) Trump in attractive disguise. He apparently is a “guter Bekannter” with the Ehepaar Westerwelle-Mronz (oh why doesn´t he give them some style advice?).
