James Castle is a British designer who was born in 1980. He studied fashion design at the University of Westminster in London. Upon graduating he worked as a design assistant for Alexander McQueen. After years of friends asking him to make them clothes, he established in own label in 2010. He lives and works in Berlin.
Inspired by the great tradition in British tailoring, James specialises in bespoke clothes that combine fine fabrics with excellent workmanship. His designs have a classic, yet modern sensibility that follows menswear cutting, which he also applies to his designs for women. His clothes have a timeless quality that stills feels relevant today.
Every piece of clothing is individually made by James in his Berlin studio. Maybe you only have an idea for a shirt. Or you are looking for a specific suit. Or maybe you want the perfect dress for a special occasion. All of James’ designs have one thing in common: they are hand-made and unique.
He has translated the aesthetic of his clothes into a collection of bags, which mix elegantly simple shapes and high-quality materials. Made from Italian calf leather, the unisex models are everyday bags that stand out in both make and design.

Waiting for you James to make me an African Suit to put on. I have only about 17 months left TWGSB. And can you guess who exposed you again this time around?
