dave’s waistcoat

By James | Published: 22. September 2011

Men don’t seem to wear waistcoats very much anymore, I think there is feeling that they somehow make an outfit look more formal, while dressing down is becoming more common in almost all situations. I really don’t think that’s the case though. A couple of months ago I made this suit, and Dave wanted the waistcoat to match. Sunday’s Berlin Tweed Day gave him the perfect opportunity to wear it for the first time. I think it looks great with or without the jacket over the top. It is made from the same Harris Tweed as the jacket and trousers, with matching horn buttons.
