new boots

By Marlene | Published: 15. September 2011

There has been no mention of shoes here for almost a week. So surely it must be time to bring up my favourite subject again…

Every year around this time begins my frantic search for the perfect boots to replace my old ones that are falling to pieces. It usually ends in May, after I haven’t found any, and can start wearing sandals again. But not this year. I bought these boots the other week. They’re a good height (i.e. not insanely high), work with a lot of what’s already in my wardrobe and I love the zip on the side. Good. Now I can continue with my search for the perfect parka…

So what’s on your shopping list at the moment?

Fantastic booties! Are these the asos ones from a post a few weeks ago? Great!

Thanks! Although they’re different ones. I returned the Topshop boots, because… apparently I not only have enough free time to buy shoes, but also enough free time to take them back down to the post office.

Go get ’em! If James doesn’t beat you to it. I think his exact word when I showed him the picture was: Oooohhhhh.

Get yourself to the next Zara in Melbourne. If Melbourne doesn’t have a Zara, start petitioning NOW. If that takes too long, I could always send you a “survival pack”…

zara just open here, and i think that the line has FINALLY thinned out and the doorman (yes, there was a doorman for the first few weeks) has been relocated. i obviously need to go there now (and pray to the grey bearded man on a cloud) that they havent taken into account the whole opposite season down under. thanks for the tip, love them boots.

To answer that question from your mail straightaway: I find their shoes surprisingly comfortable to walk in. Okay, not the most ridiculously high pairs I own. But these boots: yes. Crossing my fingers for you! (A doorman? Really?)

marlene, just bought a pair that looks similar but that i liked even more, because they were a big more rugged looking. so you can tell james to go get them now, if you haven’t already. 😉 ps have fun in paris!

I’ll tell him the good news! And: Merci. Having a great time here, at the fashion circus.
