It’s not New Year’s Eve. But it kind of feels like that around here today, because Spruced has spruced itself up a little more.
I’ve been wanting to make some changes to the blog for a while and I’m so happy that day’s finally here. Mostly, the changes mean that it’s become easier to navigate your way around the blog, and that you can view it in a much nicer way on your smartphone and tablet, which you know already if you’re looking at the blog on your smartphone or tablet right now. There’ve also been some tweaks to the categories, search function and language selection. Did you know you can read the blog in English and German? I’m just asking because not everyone does. Well, you can. Just take your pick from the sidebar. Another change is the one you saw right away when you opened the blog: the first post now comes with a big image. And I mean BIG. I’m still getting used to it myself. Although every time I see it, I want to open a bottle of champagne.
There’ll will be more additions in the next few weeks, leading up to a very big change for this little blog that’s happening very soon, but that I can’t tell you about just yet. I’m stupidly excited about it and it’s taking some serious self-control to not just blurt it out.
Until then, and even afterwards, it’ll still be good ol’ Spruced. Except in a sequin dress and dancing shoes. So, how do you like the new look?

It looks super cool, I really like it. I always read your blog on my iPhone, but right now checking over a computer, so it was interesting to see the big picture on this huge screen! For this one I find the picture works very well, will be good to see how this is with a person or so in the picture?
May I ask you to please help me out and tell me, where I can switch the language? I do not see a sidebar? I have a navigation bar at the top of the page (home, about, contact,…) Sorry, it’s probably easy to find, but I have been looking for a while and still don’t see it.

When you’re looking at the blog on your phone, scroll all the way down to the bottom of the screen, there are two links for switching between languages.
Here, on the blog: do you see the little tab on the right-hand side in the sidebar? Right below the short text about who I am and what this blog is about? It reads “English”. If you click on it, the option “Deutsch” will drop down. Tadaaaaa!
