the jewellery of zarah voigt

By Marlene | Published: 13. February 2013

I discovered the jewellery of Zarah Voigt a few years ago through my friend Sidsel, who owns a pair of incredible plexiglas earings from Zarah. I got the chance to look at her latest collection Moon Ray when I went to Copenhagen a couple of weeks ago and, just like her other designs, it’s something pretty special. The necklaces, earrings and rings, which are available in silver, oxidised silver and the gold-plated silver you can see here, look like you might have discovered them in your grandmother’s jewellery box – and then tried to talk granny into letting you have them. What I like about their antique look most is that it makes every piece seem like it should have its own story. And I’m normally pretty unadventurous when it comes to wearing jewellery, but I’m definitely stealing the idea of combining the same, or similar, rings the way Zarah’s assistant did and wearing one above the knuckle.
