It might be because my morning commute means walking from the bedroom to my desk in the living room. But I get the feeling that I’d enjoy going to work every morning more, if my office had a lobby like the Closed head office in Hamburg, which you can see above.
I got to take a tour of their offices a little while ago and would’ve very much liked to pull up with a moving van. First, I’d have packed the stunning Lui 5 armchairs from Fratelli Boffi in the top picture, as well as the Eames LCW group, which you can see in the photos below. Then I’d have found just enough space for the fiddle leaf fig tree and a bunch of L:A Bruket candles.
What I did take with me in the end was the inspiration to bring more plants into our apartment (if anyone knows where I can also get a green thumb, please tell!) and at the same time try to clutter it less. The furniture at Closed doesn’t just look good because it’s beautifully designed, but because there’s space and light around the pieces.
And as I was there already, I also photographed a few favourites from Closed’s new fall winter collection (Yes, fall. And winter. Sigh.) Which I also like, because you can wear them even if your office is your living room. If you like them too, the links are at the end of the post.
