*Sometimes I really can’t believe what I do for a job. Behold! The Prada heels I got to test-drive this week. Are they insane? Absolutely. Are they the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn? Absolutely not. But that’s asking the wrong question. Because the answer to these shoes will always be: Yes! Yes! Yes! (A few people at work asked if the lights blink when you walk. Sadly they do not.)

*A few more highlights from my week. First off: the Céline presentation.

*”Flowers make people happy!” I would be very happy indeed, if Mark Colle’s shop, the florist behind the amazing flower decorations for Raf Simons’ final show for Jil Sander, was in Berlin instead of Antwerp. Read an interview with him here.

*The fashion weekend on Arte, particulary “Before the show…” with Isabel Marant. If it’s at all possible I adore her even more now. For those of you who missed the programme (and even those of you who didn’t): Here’s the lovely video for her summer collection. And here are the amazing shoes you can pre-order from Moda Operandi from her fall/winter show. They’re high-heeled cowboy boots and I have no explanation for why I like them as much as I do either.

*Look out for Isabel as well in the Les Parisiennes episode of Garance Doré’s “Pardon my French” video diary. J’adore.

*I’m not sure this qualifies as a highlight. But, oh, how I laughed. There are now tights for men. You can also call them mantyhose. Or, as I prefer: brosiery. Brosiery! What you shall never do is actually wear them.

*The proportions, the colours, everything about this outfit. Perfection.

*James discovered The Blizzard, a football magazine conceived – where else? – in a pub and filled with the kinds of stories about football that the writers actually want to read themselves. We’ll have to pick up a copy next time we’re in London.
