The Lala Berlin show is always something I look forward to. Some of my favourite things about the new collection: The mix of bubblegum pinks and burgundy shades, the cool gaucho hats, the big mannish coats and, as always, the great knits. Heavens, was it bleak in Berlin today. Bleak and freezing. Not the kind of weather you hope for on the first day of fashion week, an event that you don't want to show up to in a snow suit, even if that's what you really want to wear. I certainly did this morning. But then I ran into Mirjana. And what a lovely sight she was in a camel coat, soft pink scarf [...] heat wave
Summer! It's here! And I couldn't be happier about it.
But... (you knew that "but" was coming, didn't you?)
But I'm also in shock. 30 degrees? Really? Nothing I could find in my closet this morning seemed to match this kind of weather. Then I remembered what my friend Lara wore during fashion week and it's pretty much the perfect outfit for a hot day [...] summer whites
When this summer eventually decides to make an appearance in Berlin, I know what I'll wear to greet it. A white dress. It's part of summer like eating cherries, picnics in the park and swimming in the lake.
