If you looked at my wardrobe, you’d probably think I lived in London or somewhere that’s equally tropical in the winter. Excuse me, London, tropical? Compared to Berlin: yes. Of course, I could just buy warmer clothes. And wouldn’t that just be so… practical. How boring! Because “warm and practical” often translates into fashion that is incredibly boring. I had convinced myself of that fact – until I saw this cardigan from Petersen. Melanie, who’s in the pictures and also the designer, rather brilliantly named it the Mette-Marit cardi. It’s made from merino wool. And, as you can see, really quite beautiful. A piece of winter clothing that’s cozy and looks good – it’s practically revolutionary. Next thing you know, someone will come up with pretty winter boots.
P.S. And here is where you can find the cardi. Also: it’s on my wish list for Christmas, which my friend Okka asked me to write and which is up over on her blog Slomo today.

Die Melanie, die kann’s! Und ja: der Name passt wie die Jacke in eine eingeschneite Holzhütte.

Oh, Cardigans kann man ja eh nicht genügend im Schrank haben … und das ist ein besonders schönes Exemplar!
