I searched what seemed the whole of London for a flat cap a few years ago. At the time nobody was selling them. When I finally found this one in a London department store my friends (especially John) teased me mercilessly for wearing it. A flat cap! Nobody wore that apart from their own grandfathers. But then a few months later a lot of people, not just octogenarians, [...]
When said together the words "men's" and "magazine" can often feel like they make an unsavoury term. A lot of men's magazines are always so lacking in ambition, either filling their pages with semi-nude photos of any celebrity willing to pose or so many bland advertisements that they feel more like a catalogue than interesting reading material. Dave is an artist. When he came to me for a suit, he already had quite a clear idea about what he wanted: a tweed suit (Harris tweed, if at all possible) with "a fish twist".

I've written about how much I love Mr. Hare shoes here before. The only thing was, I had never actually seen a pair, because they aren't available in Germany. So when I found out that I would be taking copies of Derzeit to the amazing Dover Street Market store in London, there was only one thing on my mind.
