When I first saw this jacket on a woman at the shows in Copenhagen, I had an instant crush on it. I asked her where it was from and I was half afraid she’d say: “Oh, this little thing? It’s Balenciaga.” (Because most of the people you meet at fashion weeks live in a different shopping universe). Instead she said: “It’s from Mango.”

Excuse me, what? Did you say Mango?

I don’t know about you, but Mango is not on my radar for great high street finds. I’ll go to five other places before I’d even think about going there. Habit, I guess. But the second I got back to Berlin, I practically raced to the nearest store. And there it was: the perfect biker jacket in navy suede. My crush has only become bigger since I bought it.
