A little while ago, Okka e-mailed me a picture of two women with the question: “Do you know where the one on the left got her dress?” “Sorry, I don’t. But do you know where the one on the right got her lipstick?” She did. From Nars, in a shade called Schiap (as in Elsa Schiaparelli, a tribute to the designer’s favourite colour). Okka promised to buy one for me in Paris, where Nars is sold, when she went next. I’d have to wait a couple of months. Could I be patient for that long? Of course! Still, a quick look in the online shop couldn’t hurt…

Thankfully, I managed to restrain myself. Because a few weeks later Okka gave me, you guessed it, this lipstick for my birthday.

Lessons learnt: Product research is best done among friends. Secondly: Okka rocks! Thirdly: I love this pink.
