And this what I couldn’t leave B56 store without: a peplum skirt.
A peplum? Really? Isn’t that a little too “on-trend”? A bit twee perhaps? Also: Who wants to wear a piece of clothing with a small apron attached to it? These were my thoughts – until I picked up the skirt, saw the label and decided: Mhm. If it’s Altewai.Saome, it can’t be all bad, because, look, they make some stupendously beautiful things.
And it wasn’t bad. Not bad at all. In fact, I loved that skirt the second I put it on in the changing room. It made me feel very grown-up. Glamorous even. Not quite like myself but at the same time: very much like the woman looking back at me in the mirror should be me. Of course I bought it. How could I not?
P.S. When you feel that way in a piece of clothing, the pose comes with it for free.
