Why, yes, this is me standing behind my desk on a regular working day.
Wearing a leather dress.
But I can explain!
A couple of week ago, my friend Sandra came over to our house to take pictures of some of my favourite clothes. Sandra and I were colleagues for a while before I spontaneously decided to go to Paris with her for fashion week this September. And although I’d like to think we would’ve become friends eventually anyway, the madness of that week made us instantly closer. She’s a great travel companion, an inexhaustible shopper, a girl who likes her red wine and an expert Parisienne. She’s also a kick-ass photographer.
In fact, she’s so good, that I willingly hammed it up for her and posed for this picture. There is no-one else I would’ve done that for. When I showed it to James, he said that I should consider wearing the dress to the home office more often. He then added: “Of course, what people won’t know about that picture is that you’re wearing slippers underneath the desk.”
Whether that’s actually true or not, YOU SHALL NEVER KNOW.
Because in my reality, I always look like I’ve just been given “the Sandra treatment”.
If you want to see some more of my wardrobe and of our apartment, you can find Sandra’s story about me here. Then take some time to explore her blog to see what a great photographer she is.
*Thank you, Sandra, for giving me the fashion week experience in my own home.
