The idea behind the 1 piece, 3 looks series was to get the most out of your wardrobe staples. That’s why quite a few of the pieces you can see here were already featured in part 1 and part 2. I really do wear the heck out of them. But besides a good ensemble cast you also need some principal perfomers. That’s how I try to approach shopping, when I’m not restocking basics: Who could be my heroes this season, or rather: for the sartorial mood I’m in right now? Who stand out from the crowd, are multifaceted and as adorable as a hero should be.
When I saw this skirt at & Other Stories recently, I knew: that’s the one. Midi-length, wrapped, with a canvas-like feel, in that sandy tone that immediately made me think of Lauren Hutton in her casual Safari heyday and which has that air of the 70s that’s blowing through the season. At the same time, it’s not so obviously retro that I’ll tire of it when the Seventies trend has vaporised again. (Which is also down to the fact that Lauren Hutton is immortal).

Ach, Simone. Tausend Dank! Man selbst empfindet sich ja so selten als fantastisch, aber ich fühle ich zumindest in jedem Outfit ganz wie ich – das hilft vermutlich bei der Außenwirkung. Liebe Grüße zurück
