When Ari asked me to share some of my favourite beauty buys - and, perhaps, some secrets - on her blog Primer & Lacquer, I had no idea that:
1. I have a lot of favourites. A LOT.
2. If I had fewer favourites, I'd have more money in my account (although naturally, I like to think, also less shiny hair, ahem).

I first met Ari last winter. We were standing in front of the fashion week tent, bundled up against the brutal Berlin winter. The next fashion week kicks of tomorrow, to considerably nicer weather. So what better day to finally write this post, which I've been meaning to do for a while (sometimes it feels like weeks only have four days, much like a fashion [...] 
A little while ago, Okka e-mailed me a picture of two women with the question: "Do you know where the one on the left got her dress?" "Sorry, I don't. But do you know where the one on the right got her lipstick?" She did. From Nars, in a shade called Schiap (as in Elsa Schiaparelli, a tribute to the designer's favourite colour). Okka promised to buy one for [...]

In light of current weather conditions - 25 degrees, sunshine, at least in Berlin - I'd like to make a confession: I don't tan. I get freckles instead. Which I'm not complaining about. They're quite pretty and by the end of August I usually have so many that you could mistake them for a light tan. But at the beginning of summer [...]
