I first met Ari last winter. We were standing in front of the fashion week tent, bundled up against the brutal Berlin winter. The next fashion week kicks of tomorrow, to considerably nicer weather. So what better day to finally write this post, which I’ve been meaning to do for a while (sometimes it feels like weeks only have four days, much like a fashion week) – to introduce you to Ari’s beauty blog Primer & Lacquer, which I like a whole lot (and which often makes me want to head straight to the shops, because she always has great product recommendations). And where I’m sure she’ll be taking you backstage as fashion week gears up in the coming days…

Besides, Ari has one of those tattoos that make me consider putting myself under the needle again.

I already have a tattoo, from when I was 18. Can you guess what it is? No, not a tramp stamp. Close enough though: It’s an ornament to the left side of my spine. It meant something to me back then. And if you could spell out that meaning it would read: “I was 18. I thought it would be cool.” Not that I regret it. Well, maybe a little. But it’s part of my history. Also: It’s on my back, so I hardly ever see it. Ha! But if I were to get tattooed again, it would be something a little more delicate and with true meaning. Like this one. Ari’s “L” on her wrist stands for her grandmother’s name Lisa, someone who is very important to her.
